Lunch & Learn at Epicurean's Culinary Theatre on Friday from 12:00 - 1:30 PM

Many of the dishes and ingredients we consider integral to the canon of Southern cuisine exemplify how interconnected we are with communities across the globe. From stewed chicken dishes brought by enslaved Africans to country captain, inspired by the introduction of curry to the region, many of the South’s most recognizable dishes have undeniable global roots. In this seminar, chefs Deborah VanTrece, Shai Fargian, and Mimmo Alboumeh will discuss and share chicken dishes imbued with flavors from across the world, including buffalo hot, curry, and chicken shawarma.
