But what truly sets the Macon Beer Fest apart is its mission.

The festival exists to educate men and their families about prostate cancer and the importance of early detection. It's a health fair disguised as a beer festival—a party with a purpose.

Men age 40 and older are eligible to receive a FREE PSA blood test, valued at approximately $700. If you have a family history of prostate cancer, we'll screen you earlier based on current recommendations. As a thank-you for getting screened, you'll receive three FAST PASSES, allowing you to skip the line at any beer or wine station.

Only those who plan to drink need to purchase a ticket. Designated Drivers, non-drinkers, family members, and anyone who simply wants to enjoy the music, food, and atmosphere are welcome to attend at no charge.

The Macon Beer Fest is proudly family-friendly. Children and well-behaved pets are welcome.

The Rock & Roll Pub Crawl is a 2.5-hour tour of significant musical locations and beer stops. This event is on Friday night, 6:00 pm, Oct. 9th, before the Macon Beer Fest. This tour allows guests to sample beers and learn about Macon's musical heritage. It is highly recommended to eat before the tour, as it's a lot of beer! The tour begins at Grant's Lounge, 576 Poplar St, Macon, GA 31201. The beer sample menus are set by locations visited and cannot accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies.

Even the littlest hero can help fight prostate cancer, too! Kids nine and under are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero on race day to remind their heroes – Dad, Grandfathers, Uncles, and other males in their life – to not let this villain, Prostate Cancer, get the best of them. This one block fun run is the cutest thing ever! You can run along with their parents. Gather on Poplar Street near the intersection of Third Street and Poplar Street.

This truly is a beer run. Individuals run a mile, and stop four times to drink a beer. Competitors must drink canned beer and should not be less than 355ml. No specialized cans may be used to give an advantage by allowing the beer to pour at a faster rate. No straws or devices may be used. All beers will be a minimum of 5% alcohol by volume. Hard ciders and lemonades will not suffice. It is strongly suggested to tip the can to show all the contents have been consumed before continuing the race. Gather on Poplar Street near the intersection of Third Street and Poplar Street.
