CJ Brinson & Family is an Atlanta-based improv collective led by CJ Brinson and powered by the lifelong bond of his first cousins Preston Stephens and Brandon Stephens. Together, they’ve been shaping sound since childhood—transforming bedroom jam sessions into genre-bending grooves that move audiences of all ages.

With roots in church and a spirit that defies boundaries, their music fuses raw energy with deep emotional resonance, creating performances that feel both familiar and otherworldly. What began as CJ’s dream to give their sound a true stage has blossomed into a family-driven force that captivates audiences wherever they play.

Now, CJ Brinson & Family is preparing to release their debut album, Constellation, in November 2025. The project brings their vision full circle, featuring collaborations with Grammy-winning saxophonist Kebbi Williams and French jazz innovator Raphael Imbert—an interstellar meeting of artistry, legacy, and boundless improvisation.
