Scattrbrain is the new alt-rock/punk moniker of Atlanta-based artist GRIP, known for his gritty lyricism, sharp social commentary, and raw emotional depth. Emerging from the hip hop underground and once signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, GRIP built a reputation as one of Atlanta’s most introspective emcees.

Now, with Scattrbrain, he disrupts genre lines entirely—channeling post-punk, grunge, hardcore and DIY energy into a cathartic, guitar-heavy evolution of sound.

This pivot reflects both a sonic transformation and a personal reckoning. Scattrbrain is what happens when hip hop’s most cerebral writer confronts the noise of mental health, identity crises, and modern nihilism—armed with distortion pedals, live drums, and a mic full of blood and battery acid.
