PARADE PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the following details to make the Parade on Saturday a huge success for everyone!
· Please remember that the parade starts from Seagrove Plaza (3723 E County Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459), just to the west of the Tom Thumb in Seagrove. All participants will line up along the north side of 30A (facing west) leaving room for all driveways and ingress/egress points for businesses and homeowners. · We ask that all participants arrive no later than 2:30PM on Saturday, November 29th to ensure that we get everyone lined up before 3:00PM, allowing us to roll right on schedule. Just before we begin, our team will ask you to pull up as close to the entry in front of you as possible to keep the gaps to a minimum. Please make sure to have everyone in your party at the vehicle no later than 2:30PM. The parade will run from Seagrove Plaza, westward down 30A past the rows of spectators and end in Seaside.
· IMPORTANT: It is imperative that we keep the parade moving as per the requirements from both the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and South Walton Fire District, therefore we ask that you DO NOT STOP unless you are directed to by WCSO or parade staff. This will create a back up along Scenic Highway 30A and force the road to be closed longer than the county will allow.
· You will receive a TICKET if you park in the Residential area of Seaside. Please use the designated parking areas within Downtown Seaside to avoid receiving a citation.
· Please continue down 30A once you reach SEASIDE® at the end of the parade. DO NOT USE RESIDENTIAL STREETS TO TURN AROUND.
· The Maximum height of your float/vehicle cannot exceed 15 Feet
- NO EXCEPTIONS
· DO NOT Throw water balloons or use water guns on spectators who have phones, cameras, or other electronic devices
· FOR PARTICPANTS WITH ROUTINES: You will have the chance to perform your routine at the end of the parade in front of the airstreams.
Please understand that we have to leave the road and adjacent properties free of excess litter/trash. To make the clean up staff’s job more efficient, we kindly ask that you:
· DO NOT Throw gum or candy that can easily melt such as chocolate or taffy
· DO NOT Throw excess leaflets or flyers - Be mindful when you pass these out
Thanks for your cooperation! We’re looking forward to another great parade!
