Description

Lycoming College invites the Williamsport community and surrounding areas to enjoy a free show in its Detwiler Planetarium on Friday, February 6th.

“Phantom of the Universe” is a planetarium show that showcases an exciting exploration of dark matter, from the Big Bang to galaxies to a deep underground experiment to the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In a journey across space and time, discover the compelling evidence that dark matter must exist and learn how scientists are using some of the most advanced instruments ever built in attempt to discover what it is made of.

This event is free and open to the public, with shows starting at 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. To secure your spot, reserve free tickets beginning Friday, January 30th. Doors will open 15 minutes before start of each show. Please note that there will be no admittance after the show begins. You can find us at the Lynn Science Center, located on the corner of Washington Boulevard and Mulberry Street.

NOTE: ONLY RESERVE TICKETS IF YOU WILL DEFINITELY ATTEND AS SEATS ARE LIMITED!

Please be aware that our shows may incorporate one or several of the following features: bright lights, flashing visuals, loud sounds, or intense motion effects.
