Description

Join the Georgia Conservancy for an exclusive weekend stay at the Historic Reynolds Mansion on Sapelo Island!

During the weekend of February 21-23, the Georgia Conservancy will host the Sapelo Island Weekend with the help of our partners at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, SouthEast Adventure Outfitters, University of Georgia Marine Science Institute, and Sapelo Island Cultural and Revitalization Society.

Sapelo Island, centrally-located on Georgia's 110-mile coast, is an island in ecological transition and is awash with thousands of years of human history and present-day Geechee culture. Today, much of the island is managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and it also is home to one of the last remaining saltwater Geechee communities (Hog Hammock) and the UGA Marine Institute.
