For musicians, by musicians: Terminus Hate City was founded in 2018 by Atlanta native, Forrest Bradford Jessup (aka Jay Crash). He's been playing music since elementary school, starting saxophone at the end of 5th grade, and guitar in 6th. He's been an active musician in Atlanta since highschool, playing guitar and singing/ screaming in various projects, including his own current band, Celestial Death. As of January 1st 2025, Terminus Hate City entered a new era, with Forrest becoming one of the new owners of 529 EAV.

My mission has long since been to see independent artists succeed on their own terms...

Terminus Hate City is not just a record label, we are a movement for artists. We want to see musicians keep their intellectual property and be able to create a career on their own, not under the exploitive control from major labels and corrupt multimedia corporations. An artist's destiny should always remain their own to make, no matter what. If that means they'd prefer another entity deal with business affairs, then so be it, but that shouldn't mean the artist is completely cut off from their art - as if it was never theirs to begin with. We seek to change that toxicity in the music industry - otherwise the future of music will fall to the hands of AI and money hungry capitalist pigs. 

DIY music is the future: independent from everything, and supporting the local community through and through, self sustainably.

Terminus Hate City is proud to present our first ever full label showcase, with a lineup of bands we have worked with over the years, and been honored to release music with. Doors are at 6pm. Every dollar goes towards supporting the bands on this lineup - and the rest of the bands on the roster who were unable to perform. Every dollar helps us put more vinyl, cd's, cassettes, merch in the hands of bands we work with - on top of the endless other costs that go into being DIY.

It's our collective honor to be able to host the very first Terminus Hate City Showcase event here at 529. THC is becoming an institution of Atlanta music - all with the mission to make Atlanta THE music capitol of the world. Supporting independent record labels such as ours, and the bands who we work with (who all remain independent), this showcase is one small step to further that mission. Support real art.
