WHO: Join Chef Jess Rice for a unique and festive knife skills class.

WHAT: Participants will learn how to make Chef Rice's award winning vegan chili (Awarded "Most Unique" at 3 Crow Bar's annual chili competition in 2017 and won "Best Chili" at Third Man Records in 2018) and a delicious, healthy raw vegan apple tart.

(21+ Ticket includes 1 pumpkin beer and a sample of apple pie moonshine with valid ID only)

WHY: Embrace your time in the kitchen AND the change in seasons with two of Chef Rice's tried and true recipes that celebrate locally-grown Nashville produce and will put your knife skills to the test. These recipes are known to impress the pickiest of eaters AND carnivores. The knife skills you learn in this class can be applied to your own recipes for the rest of your life.

**All participants are required to bring their own chef's knife and cutting board to class with them. Please bring a to-go container for your leftovers and a notebook and writing utensil if you wish to take notes.**

Jess Rice is a dedicated advocate of the plant-based lifestyle and has created gourmet, organic cuisine across the United States.

In 2015, Rice opened AVO and made waves in the vibrant dining scene in Nashville; AVO is the first plant-based restaurant to win “Best New Restaurant” in the annual and highly-anticipated Nashville Scene’s Reader’s Poll.

After selling AVO, Rice hit the road with legendary recording artist, Neil Young, working as his personal chef. Tying together her past in the entertainment world and her passion for food, Jess has cooked for a number of artists including Depeche Mode, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Wayne Coyne, and Kellie Pickler. Jess appeared on Trisha Yearwood's Food Network show, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" earlier this year, helping Trisha and her sister Beth sharpen up their knife skills in the kitchen.
