The 30A Wine Festival, underwritten by The Alys Foundation, returns to the beautiful community of Alys Beach Wednesday, February 19 through Sunday, February 23, 2020, for its 9th year. The festival showcases renowned distillers, vintners, and culinary favorites. Wine enthusiasts and Bourbon lovers alike can experience the unique town of Alys Beach over the five-day celebration. All proceeds from the event benefit the Children’s Volunteer Health Network, a local charity which provides health services to uninsured or underinsured school children in Walton and Okaloosa Counties. The festival kicks off on Wednesday evening with a special wine dinner featuring a four-course meal prepared by Alys Beach Executive Chef Drew Dzejak in the Red Loggia at Caliza Pool and Restaurant. Thursday night attendees will enjoy an Oyster and Champagne gathering in Central Park. Friday night’s event features “Bourbon, Beer & Butts,” where a lively barbecue and bourbon tasting will feature some of the country’s best pit masters and distillers, while live music is enjoyed under the stars on Kelly Green. Saturday offers wine lovers tasting seminars and a Grand Tasting along the town’s picturesque streetscape on South Charles Street. Guests can also register to bid on hundreds of items available in the silent auction as they stroll, sip and snack their way to the Gulf Green for a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. The festival finishes on Sunday afternoon with the exclusive “Rosé & Croquet” on Kelly Green where guests are treated to rosé tastings, a delicious brunch and, if fortunate enough to score a spot, may play in the beloved croquet tournament.
