Foxeria del Sol returns to the Westside on Sunday, August 20. Taqueria del Sol and Fox
Bros. Bar-B-Q will be joining forces again to celebrate the arrival of the
annual shipment of Hatch Chiles from New Mexico. Special this year,
Charleston’s Home Team BBQ will be coming down and joining in the fun.
Held at
Taqueria del Sol’s Howell Mill location, the Foxeria del Sol Hatch Chile Fest
will benefit Hogs for the Cause, a nonprofit organization that operates as the
premier funding source for pediatric brain cancer outreach services in the
United States.100% of all proceeds from the event will go towards the
organization.
Foxeria del Sol’s Hatch Chile Fest will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring an array of
food stations, local beer, and live music. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Taqueria del Sol
and Home Team BBQ have all collaborated on a menu of sweet and savory dishes
highlighting the flavor of the Hatch Chile, with some vegetarian options
available. Tickets are $35 per person, and include festival entry and unlimited
access to food stations. Beverages sold separately. Onsite donations will be
available and event t-shirts and posters will be for sale with 100% of
additional proceeds also going towards Hogs for the Cause.
